Fitness first…

Monday – There is a group run being sponsored by Race 13.1 from the Omega Store here in town.  I’m planning to head over there, but if I don’t have anyone to go with, I’ll skip it and run solo from home and maybe hit BodyPump.  3-4 miles

Wednesday – 4 miles

Thursday – 1 mile day.  My baby has her orchestra concert!

Friday – 1 mile

Saturday – 8 miles

Sunday – 4 miles

On tap: 26 miles

Weekly Fitness Plan

Another weekly fitness plan!  This week looks to be about normal, not too many meetings.   We also are headed out of town by Friday for our yearly Flying Pirate weekend!  I can’t wait!

weeklyfitnessplanblog

Monday – 1 mile, maybe more.  I have an appointment after school so it’ll depend on what time I get home.

Tuesday – 3-4 miles

Wednesday – 3-4 miles

Thursday – 3-4 miles

Friday – 1 mile (travel day)

Saturday – First in Flight 5K

Sunday – Flying Pirate Half Marathon

I started back with my core work routine 2-3 times a week (50 pushups, 125 crunches, 2 x 1 min plank).

If I can fit a yoga class in on Thursday, I may.

Total miles: 27-30 miles

Weekly Focus: Hydration again!

I did an awful job this week with my hydration. I hardly finished in any of my super big bottles of Essentia.  I’ve already ordered more from Amazon and I have got to be more conscious about drinking one daily, at least.

What’s your week look like?  What’s your weekly focus?

Weekly Rundown and Fitness Plan

We had a lots of thing planned yesterday and I took a blogging holiday.  I hope everyone had a great Easter and enjoyed the time with their family and friends.

Weekly Rundownweeklyrundown

Monday – 1 mile and BodyPump with Christie, Julie and Bill

Tuesday – We had our first run with the Gibbs’ Running Club.  Boy, what a turnout!!  They had a 3 and 5 mile route planned, we opted for the 5 miler and it was a doozy.  Up, down, up, down…tons of hills but it was fun to run a different route.  We enjoyed a brew post run.

Wednesday – Cara, Christine and I met to run.  All three of us were kind of not feeling running, so we stuck with some intervals after the first mile: 3 min running/1 min walking and we ended up mowing down those last two miles way faster than the first two and we felt great!  That saying, never judge a run by the first mile is true.  If we weren’t all together, I would have bailed.

Thursday – I met Christie to run 3 miles before she went to her class.  We ran a rather quick 3 miles and I felt pretty good.  I came home and did my core workout (50 push ups, 100 crunches, 2 1 minute planks)

Friday – a one mile “rest” day

Saturday – Christine and I met in my neighborhood to run 3.5 miles before we volunteered for the Runnerdude 25K.  We had a great time volunteering and cheering on the runners.  I also did my core workout.

Sunday – A small group of us got together to run.  I ran 8.5 miles to make up for the .5 from Saturday.  I wanted to keep my miles close to the same as last week’s.2015-04-05 12.17.12

Total weekly miles: 26.01 miles

YTD: 375.83 on my way to 1500

Weekly Fitness Planweeklyfitnessplanblog

Today – I’m going to get a 3 miler in before we head to the beach!!

Tuesday – Thursday:  I’ll plan to run every day, but honestly, I’m not sticking to a mileage number.  It will depend on what we do and what we have planned.  I will stick to my core workout routine though.

Friday – I’ll get try to get in 3-4 miles if I feel like I need it.  We have to go to school for one day (snow make up day)

Saturday – 10 miles

Sunday – 4 miles

Weekly focus: Diet and Hydration

I’m going to try and make good decisions while we are at the beach.  We’ll be eating out for several meals so I’ll mix in some salads to keep myself in check and splurge once or twice, I’m sure. 🙂

How did your week go??  What do you have planned for this week?

Weekly Fitness Plan

After a chilly weekend, it looks like the weather finally returns to more appropriate Spring temps.  In addition to that, I feel pretty much recovered from the marathon and I’m back into adding miles and hitting the gym.

What’s on this week’s fitness plan?

weeklyfitnessplanblog

Monday – one mile and BodyPump

Tuesday – A group of us are meeting downtown to take part in the first Gibb’s Hundred Brewing Running Club meeting.  Gibb’s is a local brewery and they are offering specials after the run.  They have a 3 mile and 5 mile option.  I’m planning to run the 5 mile route.  It’s also my 700th day of my running streak!

Wednesday – I’ll run 3-4 miles

Thursday – I want to hit the yoga class at the Y, so I’ll probably run 3 miles before or after.

Friday – I’m going to go for a mile, but with having off school, I may have time to run more.

Saturday – I’m volunteering for at a local race and bonus!  It’s right near my house.  I’ll plan to run to the start and back for 4 miles.

Sunday – I’m planning to run 8-10 miles.

Total miles: 26-28 miles

Weekly focus:  Hydration and food portions

Amazon just restocked Essentia so I’ve got a 12 pack of waters for the week.  I’m also going to start keeping an eye on my portions and making an effort to eat at home.  I cannot eat out every night and expect to make good choices and watch my portions.  I’m setting myself for failure.

What’s on your weekly fitness agenda?  Anything you are focusing on?

Weekly Fitness Plan

This week looks to be just beautiful and I’m so excited!!  Seems like Spring temperatures are slowly staying around.

What’s on this week’s fitness plan?

weeklyfitnessplanblog

Monday – Headed back to BodyPump this week!  I’m being realistic and starting back over with my weights and slowly building back up.  I’ll also have one mile

Tuesday – I am going to try and make it to yoga, but it depends on what time I leave school.  I’ll either hit the class and do a mile or run 3 solo in my neighborhood.

Wednesday – It’s my birthday!!  I’ll run 4.1 miles to celebrate turning 41. 🙂

Thursday – Depending on whether I can make it to Tuesday’s yoga class, I may end up going to class today and running or a mile or I’ll run 3 miles

Friday – one mile

Saturday – I’m running the Hamilton Lakes 10K again this year.  The course has changed from last year, so I’m hoping it’s not as hilly, but knowing that neighborhood, it’s about impossible to make it any flatter.  Not sure at this point if I’ll race it or not.  Still working on getting my legs back from the marathon.

Sunday – I’ll head out for 3-5 miles and may take in a CXWorx class in the afternoon

I’m excited to be mixing in more classes this week and keeping my running pretty easy, slowly gaining back miles on the weekends.

What’s on your weekly fitness plan?  Any races coming up this weekend?

Happy Week!
