We are over halfway through the week and I’m thinking out loud today! Let’s get to it! 🙂
We’ve lived in our house for just over 10 years now and it’s time for some facelifts. I am going to tackle the kitchen first because it will be the easiest to overhaul. When we moved in, I had a thing for orange paint and the bottom half of the walls beneath the chair rail is this faux finish orangish color. I’m sick of looking at it now. I think I’m going to go with a deep gray. I also want to find something to do with all the stuff above the cabinets. We have vaulted ceilings in the kitchen so I need to come up with something to fill that space or the kitchen will look really tiny. I’m not sure what to do yet. I’m tossing around the idea of doing solid white items and adding in color based on the season. I’m just not sure.
I’ve not been on Pinterest for some time and I got on there to look for some ideas and I successfully spent way too much time searching through kitchen ideas, clothing, quotes and any other random thing I found. I knew that was going to happen. In the midst of pinning kitchen ideas, I did start a Stitch Fix board for my stylist. At least something productive came out of that! After looking back at my Stitch Fix board, I also realized that I pinned only all black clothing. It figures!
I’m kind of addicted to Fiber One bars. They came out with a whole bunch of new flavors and I eat them for dessert. My favorite? Salted Caramel Cheesecake. No wait, Blueberry Streusel. No. It’s Cinnamon Coffee Cake. Ok, maybe the Lemon Bar. Chocolate Chip Brownie! I love them all! I can’t pick a favorite. I have to remind myself to just eat one. Most of them are 90 calories and are the perfect sweet treat!
Women’s Only Running School is in full gear now. We’ve held three days of assessments for the ladies to come out to a local track and complete a one timed mile. Their mile times will help to place them into groups. We’ve had 90 ladies show up at this point with our last assessment tonight. I’m super excited to meet my group next week Thursday and start our training. My friend, Julie, has coached for years so I’m happy to know someone out there coaching also. It will be helpful for me to ask her questions as needed.
And lastly, I mentioned a book I was reading about recognizing “life traps”. It inspired me to look at common fitness traps that we’ve all had at some point. Anyways, I finished reading through the section that I felt would be of most help to how I’ve been feeling and I’m happy to say that I’ve seen some improvement already in how I’m dealing with certain situations. I’ve shut off some of the spiral of thoughts I would normally have. It also helps that Cara and I had a really good run talk on Tuesday morning. She’s really insightful about everything too. She has been an amazingly awesome listener for me, even when I ramble. It’s great to have friends who I can have these types of conversations with often.
So what is on your mind? What are you thinking about it?
See what other people are thinking about too for Thinking Out Loud Thursday hosted by Running With Spoons.
Go be awesome! 🙂
