Saturday Morning Motivation

Happy Saturday to you all!!

Hope that the weekend finds you well.  It is that time of the week where we lace up and head out for our morning runs and races!  Given that the temps were in the 90’s all week here in NC, I thought we might need a special Saturday Morning Motivation to help with the sluggish yucks from the start of summertime running.  It’s tough and it’s so darn sweaty running in the Summer.  Most of us look like we’ve taken a shower somewhere out on our runs most days.  My fingertips were even wrinkled the other day!?  What’s up with that?

Is it hard to run in the summer?  Yes!

Is it impossible?  No way!

You got this!  Just listen to your body.  Follow your pace.  Your race, your pace.  Your run, your pace.  Find what works for you.  Stick with it.  Run on effort.

  1. I am so not a fan of the hot summer weather! and I think anything over 70 is hot.
    I try to run as early as I can to avoid the heat.

  2. It has gotten too muggy for my liking here!! But I’m just slowing down, breathing deep, and trying to enjoy the sweat fest lol I find your motivational Saturday to be quite appropriate. 😉 it’s NOT impossible. We got this summer!!
