I have been waiting 10 weeks to write those words…Taper! It can only mean one thing, we’ve completed 10 weeks of back to back runs and it’s time to put all our hard work to practice in Tampa! One week to go!!
Monday – 1 mile and whatever PiYo workout that decides to work
Tuesday – Long run part one, 6 miles. I’ll run a few before hand and meet Cara for the rest.
Wednesday – Long run part two, 7 miles. I’ll do a repeat and run a few and meet Cara for the rest.
Thursday – 1 mile and yoga
Friday – 1 mile and plenty of walking around NYC
Saturday – 1 mile and plenty of walking around NYC
Sunday – I’m hoping to maybe get a 3 mile run in when we get back into town.
Total miles: 20 miles

Oh yes!! Especially after today’s relay run.
Yes Melanie the time has come!!! Arrrrrrr you ready!!!! I won’t be 100% but I’m looking forward to being part of the festivities. I’m sending you an early welcome to Tampa!!! I’ll be at the expo on Friday and racing/training run Sunday (8K) 🙂
I’ve waited 11 weeks to say those words!! I’m just looking forward to running and having a great time through all the events. I’ll be heading to the expo Friday as well!
What time will you be there I’ll probably be there mid morning/early afternoon 🙂
I think we’ll be there later in the afternoon. We’re have a few friends flying in so we’re trying to coordinate meeting up at the Expo. I need to check the hours. We also need to find a place near the course to meet up after each race. With that many people, we want to make sure we have a place set before. Any suggestions??

Post Race
There is actually a drawbridge that that cross over just past the finish line that takes you back towards the convention center where the expo is. That bridge is usually a good meeting point.
well, my plan was 18 miles this week, 3/5/3 and then a long 7 on Saturday. However, I caught something on Monday and now I’m sick. I missed yesterday and today’s run. Hoping to get better so I can run tomorrow’s 3 and Saturday’s 7.
