When I got the email about this week’s #TuesdayTen, I thought it was a fun one! So I’m linking up this week to share 10 random photos on my phone and the story behind them! Some are family, some are friends, some are running related, but all of them gave me a great walk down memory lane! It was really hard to limit myself to just 10 pictures too.
ASHEVILLE HALF MARATHON
We had just finished running the half marathon and enjoyed a wonderful post race lunch and we came across these statues on our walk back to our car. How could we not get on the piglet and turkey?!? This is one of the MANY reasons why I love Cara. Her sense of adventure and willingness to live in the moment just makes me want to be more like that!
This was our family pic from Nathan and Katie’s wedding. The fact that Hayden even has a dress on is huge! I’m so proud of where she’s going as a beautiful (inside and out) young lady! And Nick looks pretty sharp in that suit too. 🙂 I love my family!
BALTIMORE HALF MARATHON
The Baltimore Half Marathon was a bittersweet half after the fact. We were so happy to go up to Maryland in October when we usually head up there in the summers and around Christmas. It was a treat to be up there then! We had time to visit with our friends, Jen and Dave, and to stay with Nick’s grandparents. Little did we know that would be our last trip to Annapolis. It was a trip that will forever stick with Nick and me and we are forever grateful that we got to spend that time with his Granddad and Maw Maw. Life changes on a dime, appreciate what you have and tell people always that you love them. You just never know…
I was one happy momma by getting to spend a few days with my best girl in DC for her field trip! We had a great time together and I will cherish that time as she now moves onto middle school and the next chapter. It was just what we needed!
I love my bitty girls. They are just the silliest, most loving little girls. Seriously?! Aren’t they adorable?! Girls rule in my family! There are 3 of us girl mommas and 5 daughters. My poor dad is totally outnumbered!
FIRST TIME PACING
This year I paced for the first time and I absolutely loved it! It has added a wonderful dimension to my running that I didn’t even know existed. It has been the most rewarding thing to be able to run and help others achieve their goals. I’m here with my super pacing friend, Cindy, who got me hooked up with pacing at the Myrtle Beach half. Now I’m hooked and I have 3 races already this year where I’ll be pacing!
MY 40th BIRTHDAY
It was one of the soggiest days ever, but it was awesome! I have an amazing group of friends who were willing to brave the elements and head to Boone to celebrate my birthday with food, fun and some hiking! I still laugh when I think of all of us trying to get around puddling water and muddy trails. Though it was technically miserable weather, we had a blast!
I MADE IT! ONE YEAR RUNNING!
AND LASTLY, MY RUNNER GIRLS!
