We made some changes to our training plan and we’re holding off our back down for a few more weeks. Originally we did the plan, gaining miles working towards Tobacco Road Marathon, but we really want to have a taper the weekend before Gasparilla. We want to go into race weekend rested.
Monday – Mondays are now my recovery days, one mile
Tuesday – I’m leaving this one open. I have an after school meeting and I’ll have to run later. I’m hoping to catch up with some friends for a run.
Wednesday – Cara and I are going to meet to run a few miles. I’m going for 4 miles
Thursday – I have to sell tickets for the wrestling match after school so I’ll at least get a mile in, maybe more.
Friday – 1 mile
Saturday – 11 miler
Sunday – 14 miles
I also ordered PiYo dvd set and it should be here this week. I’m super excited to try it!
Weekly Focus: Hydration
I really did a great last week with drinking a good amount of water. I could tell by Saturday’s long run that I had done well! I just purchased 3 cases of Essentia water so I’m prepared! 🙂

I’m curious how you feel with those back to back long runs on the weekend? Looks like a busy week for you!
Last week, not so good. Getting ready to head out in just a bit for 13 after 11 yesterday. I feel pretty good this morning. We’ll see how it goes! I will say that I was leery this would feel the same as running a 20 miler during marathon training. Totally not true. It feels just the same! I’ll be interested to see how this translates to my marathon in March.
