Ultimate Coffee Date

Grab a cup of coffee and let’s chat!  I might have a piece of my awesome friend’s cherry pie because it’s the holidays, why not?  You know you want a slice too??  Let’s catch up for this month’s Ultimate Coffee Date.cherrypie

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you…

that training for Tampa started this week and I am loving our plan!  It’s an amazing feeling to let go of wanting to “race” everything and I’ve enjoyed all of my runs since we made the decision to go “slow and low”.  We have all had awesome runs and feel so great!  It is exactly what my body needs me to do and it’s exactly what my head needs too.  I’m probably enjoying running more now than I have in a long time.

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you…

we lost a friend this past week.  Our dear Mazda Tribute is not well.  She was a great car and she took us safely on many a trip but she’s seen her last one.  We’re trying to figure out what we want to buy and are a bit ugh! because we had no intention of having to purchase a car this year.  Goodbye days of no car payments.  They were sweet while they lasted.

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you…

I have 2, yes 2! weeks until our holiday break.  I’m not sure who is more excited, me or the kiddos.  This year has flown by honestly and it’s hard to believe that when we come back, we’ll be in January already.  It’s been a good, but tough year at school and mentally, I’m ready for the break.

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you…

I have half of the decorating done.  We have a naked tree still and I just can’t find the motivation to get it completed.  I’m hoping that today is the day and after a holiday themed run, I’ll be inspired.  No one wants to see a nekkid tree on Christmas morning.  I’ll also say this was the year that Hayden stopped believing or at least told us that, it may have been sooner.  So I feel a little disappointed that some of the magic is gone.  So that may be to blame for my lagging on getting the house decorated.  Our elf on the shelf, Jack, will be missed!

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you…

On the opposite end, my sisters and I did so great with my mom’s Christmas gift this year, she is going to flip!

So what’s new with you?  What are you looking forward?  Any races?  The holidays?

Share them with me!

Happy Week!

  1. Yay for the training going well! I start training the first week of January!! I’m going to be using a more slow and low approach as well. More fun easy miles! Our tree is still nekkid too 😉 we just moved so I’m having a really hard time finding motivation. This weekend we have the reindeer run!!

  2. good morning! I forgot you were a Tampa girl! What is our next race? Gasparilla? One of my favorites! I am sorry for your loss, car shopping is the worst! I hate to drink and run but I need to get ready for the Hot Chocolate 15K- wish me luck!
